When I restart windows xp, system tray doesn`t load for 2
minutes but I can use every program.Downside:I can`t
connect to internet until two items that are in the
syatem tray loads.I use dsl connection if that has any
relevance.

I too experience this with my DSL connection. (I do not loose internet
connectivity, however. Simply, the network connection icon will not display
in the system tray for approximately twenty to thirty seconds.) And while I
cannot give you a solution, I can tell you that it is not a result of 811493
or an excessive number of starting programs in MSCONFIG. I have had this
problem from well before 811493 and I have only one starting program in
MSCONFIG.
What two programs do you require to connect to the internet in XP via DSL?
Firewall and AV, perhaps. The reason I ask is that just because they have
not loaded in the system tray does not mean that the system has not started
running them.
