i ve formatted a floppy disk under win98 environment.
when i tried to open it in win xp....
but gives me a waring msg that..
need to format the disk again..
sth like it..
and hence i cannot open the files in the floppy..
...
my questions are:
1. i wonder is it due to the disk is formatted in win98
env so that cannot be opened in winxp?
2. If it is due to q1 problem, how can i open the files
under xp env???

Disks formatted in Windows 98 should be fully readable from Windows XP. Your
problem is more likely to be a faulty floppy disk or a faulty floppy drive
in one or other of the machines (the latter only if you are talking about
two seperate PCs here)

If you don't say what you mean,
Then how can you ever mean what you say?

No, the format is the same. This has nothing to do with 98 vs.
XP. The problem is likely that the drive the diskette was created
on is aligned slightly differently from the one you're trying to
read it on.
