I have a 0 length file on my hard drive that give an error
when I defrag, and when I go to the file, I am not able to
rename or delete it. Then I get an error that says that
the file can not be located, but it is right there in the
dir listing. I have run the latest virus scans, and I
have run error checking on the disk. Still no solution.
Any answers out there?

A file with zero bytes cannot be fragmented. It only occupies at
the most one cluster. You should be able to remove it in safe mode.
You could also try a chkdsk to see if you have errors there.
