I recently re-installed Windows XP and now cannot set up
dial up connections. The problem seems to lie with
the "Remote Access Connection Manager" in Administrative
tools and when I try to start it it tells me "Error5:
access denied". Any ideas on how to fix

Rod, on my XP HE system, to set up a new connection, I follow this process:
Start>Control Panel>Internet Options>Connection
Then pick "Add ..." and a New Connection Wizard should pop up, to set up a
new dialup connection.
Is that the process you are following when the error code arrives?
