After reinstalling XP Home Edition (OEM) - after a virus
corrupted the hard drive - I am not able to scan for
updates from the update website. The entire system is
free (now) of virus's. When I command the scan to start
nothing happens and a message notes 0% scanned for
updates. I did not encounter this problem perviously with
the same operating system version. Furthermore, I know
there are a number of critical updates available.
