I am trying to restore my system and I get a response that
the system could not be restored to that point. I have
tried different points from yesterday to 1 month ago.
Anyone know why or how I can get around it? I erased a
program that I want back and can't get any other way.
Thanks

Miriam;
You probably have corruption in the System Restore files.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes all Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore.
Otherwise:

Since the Restore Points will be gone, you will have to reload the
application from CD or download etc..
