Outlook Express malfunctioning

I have had problems with OE. As soon as I start the
program, it shuts down and asks if I want to send an error
report. I must have went at least a dozen reports. What
happens to them, anyway? What can I do to restore a well
functioning mail system?

You might also try uninstalling the Windows Q811493 Update (that
everyone else is talking about in that it is slowing many computers
down).

I was experiencing some strange Outlook Express problems, including one
where every time I went to paste in an email OE just shut itself down.

Since removing the Q811493 update (do it through Add/Remove Programs),
everything seems fine again.
