Windows XP and Downloading Updates

Xref: kermit microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain:77869

Go to C:/windows/system32 and find file 'catroot2' and rename this file to
something like 'oldroot2'. Then reboot. Download and install the updates.
The problem is caused by a corrupt catroot2 file. A new catroot2 file will
be generated.
