Hello,

Looking for a capture device that can capture EVERYTHING on my computer
screen. Currently I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT video card and it can output
video to a VCR via a composite cable, but to do that I have to switch the
display mode and nothing can be seen on the monitor. With this card you
can't (at least I've yet to find a way) to both output to my VCR AND view
the monitor. I need something that can output video on both.

Preferably I'd like to find something that's relatively inexpensive (no more
than $150)

Might anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jeff

windows media encoder can record your whole screen and save it as a file
with no
extra hardware AND is free
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx

This is also a free solution that can save to an avi
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=CamStudio

you can also look into this product
http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp

and this
