shutting down computer

When I click on shutdown a window comes up and says
End Program-Exploder.exe
Ending program,This program no responding
Return to windows:
Check programs(not sure what they mean)
If you end now you will lose any unsaved Data,
End Now or Cancel
**I tell it to End Now and another window comes up saying:
End Program-Connections Tray
If you end now you will lose unsaved data.
I say end now and the machine shuts off.
Can you help me with this problem?
