"Error Message: The Software You Are Installing Has
Not Passed Windows Logo Testing to Verify It's
Compatibility with Windows XP..."
This particular system is running Windows XP Pro, which
has been migrated from Windows ME a while back.
When I attempt to apply the 3 currentservice packs from
MS "automatic updates" (listed below)
#813489: April 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet
Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.
#330994: April 2003, Security Update for Outlook Express 6
SP1.
#Q817287: Critical Update (Catalog Database Corruption in
Microsoft Windows XP.)
It constantly gives me the error message dialogue
box...
"Error Message: The Software You Are Installing Has
Not Passed Windows Logo Testing to Verify It's
Compatibility with Windows XP..."
I found this document and tried what it suggests with no
success
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;811263. I am out of options, it seems there is no more
information on this subject that I was able to track down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
