Hello,

I'm having a problem to Install a local fax printer in he Printers and
Faxes control panes because I click in the icon supposed to do such a task
and nothing happens. What to do to solve this? Any help would be greatly
apreciated. Thank you very much indeed.

Sincerely yours,

You might also try microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax

Guess you decided to keep your solution a secret. My guess is that you
never configured the Fax service to provide a recognized data/fax modem
(i.e., you need to have a data/fax modem installed and you need to run
through the fax wizard to query it to determine what functions it
supports).

Hello,

No secrets whatsoever! The only thing I did with success was to add a fax
choosing the proper option in the Printers and Faxes control panel and then
choosing the view all installed printers and faxes option in this control
panel. The option to add a fax will appear in the window.

Sincerely yours,
