EMS memory in XP

Trying to run an old MS-DOS game (Darklands) that
requires EMS memory. Tried all the obvious tricks -
changing the memory settings on the program's properties
tab, adding EMM=RAM to the config.nt file etc. Program
still won't recognise any EMS memory. How can I solve
this, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
