System slow..

hi,
Window's when doing a task is slow and show's an hourglass
esides reinstalling what other option do i have, and if
nothing seem's to work like repairing, restting virtual
memory, and taking off program's off start up when logging
on?

You don't need to do anything that radical. All that's needed is standard PC
maintenance: virus scan, check disk for errors, uninstall unneeded software,
defrag, search for spyware, and check the options and preferences of your
installed software. If you have less than 256MB of RAM you should add more
memory.
