java error on IE6???

On a web site I use often for work, I get a javascript
error when trying to enable a "tag all" function. I
cannot tag all. A new browser seems to attempt to open,
but doesn't open completely, It's as if a piece of ad-
blocking software was at work. I do not believe I am
running any ad blocking software. Any ideas? I've
tired to re-install IE6, but the version that came with
the system (Sony Vaio) doesn't allow a re-install.

Please advise.
