About a week ago my audio is messed up, its like when you used to play
a 45 record on 78 speed or talking after sucking a balloon
full of helium. Even when Im printing and that recorded message
(printing has started/finished is in 78speed also any voice on the
internet is messed up the same. I tried to go back to a restore point
but got a message that no changes were made so
no restore point needed. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello countfleet,
I must have read your post five times. I have looked at all my MCDST
and Windows XP trouble shooting books. No where can i find this problem.
Maybe I missed it. I have never had a user explain a problem quite this way.
I will keep looking but I am sure that Colin or Rick can help you. They are
very good at what they do. The sad part is that I am old enough to know
about the 45 and 78 records! It has been a while since I worked on a machine
with XP Home but it seems to me you can create a restore point even if no
changes were made. It is worth trying . Keep checking back We will get
your puter off helium. Best of luck to you.

ps: i am not making light of your problem but thanks for a great
laugh
