The XP Pro machine is the one with the performance problem.

I am backing up 70 meg on a partition from a win 98 machine
on the home LAN.

It was being backed up nightly, for months with no problem.
Now I do it manually in the morning, then reboot the XP machine
to calm down the system process.

Thanks,
ah
