Hi,
How can i tell for sure that this is what the poblem is.
I see an hourglass everytime i go to anything and do any
task, should this be doing that or should it do the task
right away?

Maybe to much hourglass, depends on what you are doing.
Try these to see if they help:
Run an updated virus scan.
Run Disk Cleanup checking all boxes except "Compress old files"
Run Defrag.
If you have file sharing software such as Kazaa, disable it.
Check this link:

Since you did not post any useful info, perhaps you need more memory. Try
looking at your performance under Task Manager. I personally would suggest
using atleast 512MB of RAM. Other possibilities are you have too many
programs running, or even a Virus.
