Print spooler running but says it's not

I go to printer and faxes, my printer is there and when I check to see if the
print spooler is running it says it is until I try to print. Then it comes up
with an error that says the spooler is not running. Please help. Lisa

Start>Run>type NET start spooler
and press OK
