View Full Version : XP Pro System Lock's Up Constantly?!?!

Our experience began :( and ended :)
After installing Q811493 on 4/17/03 the PC constantly
froze as you describe! Tried uninstalling our Norton AV
and 811493 as MS's workarounds recommend but PC still
froze! Finally ran through the In-Place Upgrade of Win
XP - see MS KB Q315341 using Method 2. This retained
program links, etc. (minus a couple of drivers) but
resolved the lock ups as long as 811493 was not
reinstalled afterwards!!! Good luck!!!
