My CPU is running at 100% all the time under Windows XP
Pro. This just started after using Norton's LiveUpdate to
update my AntiVirus definitions which asked me to re-
boot. I've contacted Symantec, but so far they haven't
offered a solution.
When viewing the task manager, two tasks are eating up
most of the CPU cycles: 1) lsass.exe [which I'm told is
the Local Security Authentication Server] and 2)
svchost.exe. Any ideas of what these two modules are
attempting to do? This is not the Q811493 hotfix problem.
I haven't installed that. Any ideas on how to
troubleshoot the problem and hopefully resolve it?
