my system on the windows log in screen under my user name keeps telling me
that I have 99
unread email messages. I have no unread messages. I am running XP. I think
somehow outlook is sending some false messsage to the system or maybe it is
a XP problem???
Any help appreciated.

Could it be from Messenger? Have you ran a virus check lately, have a
firewall installed. Have you run adaware or such like spybot.

I did put spybot on the system but I recalling that it was having this
problem before I installed it.
No virus and no firewall cept Norton Antivitus and internet security which
checks the emails as they arrive.
