Windows Service Pack Update

I downloaded the Windows Service Pack Update and after the
download was almost complete I realized that I forgot to
disable the anti-virus software as was recommended. It
seemed to download okay. Could there be a hidden problem
since I forgot that step. Should I un-install, then try to
re-install the service pack update?

Maggie;
It is good to disable AV, but not always necessary.
If all is working fine now, leave it as is.
