a few weeks ago there was a security update for microsoft
vm on windows update. everytime i try to download this
hotfix it would fail. so checking the knowledge base for
this hotfix. which gave steps to check to see if vm is
install on my computer using the run button on the start
button. you type in "cmd" and enter. then on the command
line type jveiw and enter. if you see the line is not a
vaid command this means that vm is not install. this is
why it fail. also i am getting error messages on many
sites which reads. page can't be veiw because java is not
install. it suggest i get the vm from windows update. but
everytime i run windows update on my xp os computer there
is nothing about microsoft vm. how can i get microsost vm.
thanks

Brian;
Microsoft is removing Microsoft Virtual Machine from its websites and
stopping distribution because of a court order:
http://www.microsoft.com/java/
http://www2.whidbey.net/djdenham/VM.htm

You can download Sun Java here:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/
