My Hewlett Packard computer model 8754C came with Windows
ME and I installed Windows XP home upgrade. My problem
is one time when I turn on the power it might load
alright, the next time it will start and load up to the
HP screen and stop but will not continue to load Windows
XP. If you wait 10 to 15 minutes it might continue
loading Windows XP. If not, I can use the power switch
to turn off the computer and back on then it usually
loads properly. Other alternatives is wait a couple of
minutes and then hit the power switch twice or turn
computer on with a floppy disk in drive 'A'and when it
stops the message on screen will say "Hit any key" at
this point remove disk and hit a key the computer will
probably start and load the Windows XP satisfactorally.
Is this a fault of Windows XP or the computer?
