When I scan my system with Norton WinDoctor, the below message comes up. My
question is: Can I copy this file from another pro machine , or download it
from Microsoft and replace the file the “mscoree.dll” in the C:\Program
Files\Common folder and then will it work? I prefer to download it from
Microsoft.
I find two references to this type of issue and one states it is a .NET
framwork issue, while the other one, Error messages, states it is a line
missing from the above file and addresses the m.
In the Error message discription for
XP, it says click on the error address for more information; however when I
click on the line, there is no link to follow.
Can someone help me find the information to explain this message?
Thanks bunches, the error message is below.

Don't pay too many attention to WinDoctor messages.
See if http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108178 explains your
problem.

Download the "Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package"
and install it. Afterward, visit the Windows Update web site to install some important
critical updates for it.
