View Full Version : Help! I'm getting "Add Contact" bombed!

Every day, I get like around 40+ strange users adding me
to their contact lists. I always say NO but it's really
disruptive to have to answer that damned dialog box 30+
times a day. It doesn't help that the dialog box defaults
to YES.

There HAS to be a way to prevent this. Why can't we get
an option for "Do not allow others to add me to their
contact list".

I don't want to kill my Passport account.. how else can I
cope with this problem?

Greetings,

Actually these "reverse list" requests are by design, there's no way to stop them. Do you
have a really common Passport name or something? (mark@ etc.)

I didn't think "mod_boy" was that common.
I really think these unwanted contact adds are attempts at
spam. About 50% of them have Thai(or Hindu?) characters
in the name.
The flood of them has slowed down today but I really think
MS should think of way to allow us some degree of control
over this.
I can't believe that there is no solution to this other
than to delete my passport account. I'm sure MS doesn't
really want people doing that on a regular basis.
