Since updating Windows, I can't open any attachments--it
tells me that "OE" had removed the message.
What can I do to open messages again?

Pat,

You need to disable a security setting;
1.. Start Outlook Express.
2.. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3.. Click the Security tab, click to clear the Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check box under Virus
Protection, and then click OK.

Go to "Tools/Options/ Security tab" and see if the "Do not allow attachments
to be saved..." box has a check mark in it. If so, uncheck.
