Yes! I have frequent crashes and slowdowns with IE6 and
XP on a Dell Laptop. I did some digging in the
Administrative functions area and found some error
information. I am leaning toward a problem with the
touchpad/pointing stick settings in the Registry. The
error 12 I received is in the KnowledgeBase as article
106373. It explains how to change two registry entries
for NT. Those same entries do not exist in XP. I do not
know what to do.
I have suspected OE, Adobe eBook reader, MS Word, wi-fi
card app and the nVididia graphics drivers. The BIOS was
recently upgraded and this is the first time I found an
error related to the input devices.
