Unable to send faxes

Hello..

I am able to receive faxes but am unable to send faxes. I entered my fax
number as the TSID and teh CSID. Is this correct? I am using a 56K modem.

When I try to send a fax it dials, then I hear a muffled voice message and
lastly the fax will not be sent.

The TSID and CSID entries are not in play.
I would assume that muffled voice is the recorded message from the phone
company telling you that your call cannot be completed as dialed.
You're there. We're not. Tell us how you are configuring fax to dial an
invalid number.
