MSN Messenger 5.0 & MSN Explorer (not sure which ver) won't let me log on

[rtdos]

I un-installed MSN Messenger (4.6) before I installed MSN Messenger 5.0 but
I can't logon to MSN Messenger / MSN Explorer HOWEVER I can still check my
hotmail thru OE.

How can I fix this ASAP ?

it is NOT saving either my .NET account information or any related PW.

i now tried uninstalling MSN Messenger 5.0 but it still does it.

Hi,
You can try setting up your .NET account information by typing control
userpasswords at Start>Run . Then under the Windows 2000 style user accounts
applet, flip to the advanced tab and click on ".NET passport wizard". Hope
this helps you.

If you want to remove MSN messenger you can do so from the add/remove
programs applet. If it does not get uninstalled from there then you can
download the following edit:

Uninstall Windows/Microsoft Messenger (line 33)
