View Full Version : Removing Q811493 helped... somewhat...

I had the typical... system slow as a dog problem after
installing Q811493. I removed it via control panel and it
fixed most of my problems (Right Click menus very slow,
slow app startups, etc.). I still have one problem that
seems to affect only mouse movement. After using my
system for awhile my mouse will pause, I'll get a few
system sounds and it'll work again. It seems to occur
fairly regularly. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks in advance...

What kind of mouse? If you jiggle the cord where it enters the mouse
case (if it is a corded mouse) do you get the "system sounds"? If so,
the mouse cord is shorting.

It's an Intellimouse Explorer (MS). Checked the cord at
the back of the mouse and the connection at the USB port
and all seemed fine... even unplugged it a couple of times
to check.
