View Full Version : Problem in Windows2000 (urgent)

Dear all,

I have problem about Windows2000 start up. When I boot the PC to
Windows2000, it just show the backgroup colour and the starting sound only.
However, all the icons, start button and all the things were disappered. I
just can move the mouse point only. And I need to power off the PC and
restart it again. but, the happen is the same.

My PC config:

Partition magic for booting.
40 GB HD
Parition 1: Windows2000
Parition 2: Wondows XP (no problem)

Could anyone help me? Thank you very much

You probably should try a 2k group... Anyhow, reboot to 2k, when the error
occurs press ctrl + alt + del and run a new task from the task manager, type
explorer.exe and run that. Does your desktop then show? If so fix what ever
problem it was you were having though without more information I don't know
what your having for issues.

You might want to post your question to a windows 2000 newsgroup. The
two you chose are for XP. Here is a list of all Windows Newsgroups:

Sorry all that i cannot find out the NG about ms.publice.windows2000. and
make all annoy.

I found the problem is in the Partition BootMagic program. so, i need to
reinstall win2000.
