Thank you for the response. I hate to clutter up the message boards, but
that is the problem. I was trying to get help/ explanation for why the
computer is not working properly. I used the McAfee as an example because it
was what was currently happening. I want to say if memory serves correctly
they were talking about how not all the dll's or registry was always
correctly updated when installing SP 2. Microsoft apparently put out a
position paper on this in January.

There does seem to be a problem somewhere. I will say that as I saw your
response I clicked on the reply to add on to the thread. I see in the lower
left corner of my browser "javascript:fnNewReply()" but nothing happens.
I'm not sure if its and XP or IE issue but something is going on.

Other sites:
Excite - I can read email. However if I go to compose a message it pulls up
the window, but I can't type in any text, I can't even get my cursor to
appear there.

Dell - I tried there site to access their support community. I can pull up
the site, I'm registered, but it won't let me type anything in the box to
send a message.

P.S. My popoff blocker is turned off. I have installed sp 2 already. Is
there another update that I missed? I have my updates turned on and install
when it tells me to.

Any help is appreciated.

Try control-panel,firewall,exceptions,add program,add IE,then select
add program again, edit the menu. You might also, open administration,
event viewer, see whats happening in detail.
