shutdown

My computer shutdown but power is still on. Have to turn
it off using power supply switch. Please help.

Is this a new machine? Some newer computers (including mine) maintain power
to the motherboard after shutdown. I'm not a techie but I suppose it serves
some purpose (eg it keeps my network link open to the router) as it's been
done intentionally. AFAIK, you have to live with it - or switch off from the
supply as you are doing.
