Check Disk after XP SP1a

Hi

Just finished installing XP SP1a, however after the
install of the service pack, the laptop restarted and ran
a check on the disk. The check on the disk was allowed to
run but it just keeps coming back. The computer is being
shut down in the right way. Any ideas?
