Does anyone know if there is a way to uninstall windows
xp after upgrading from 2000? since installing xp my
computer will not shut down when I tell it to, and it has
messed up my video card as well ( I have an SVHS output
which stopped working as soon as I installed it.
Any help would be appeciated.

What type of video card are you using? Do you have the latest
drivers installed?
You cannot "uninstall" a XP Pro installation. A reformat of the
drive and a "clean install" of Windows 2000 is required.

See MVP Jim Eshelman's Shutdown Troubleshooter page for Windows XP at
http://www.aumha.org/a/shtdwnxp.htm for assistance with that problem.
As for your video issues, what is the make and model of your video card?
Have you checked with the manufacturer's web site for Windows XP drivers
for your specific model?
Good luck
