printer problem! please help me!!

im having real problems re-installing my lexmark 1100 laser printer on my
computer. followed the trouble shooter which said un-install then re-install,
after which nothing is happening on printer side. the printer is in the
control panel/printer fax menu

Disconnect the printer from the PC.

Follow Bruce Sanderson's instructions to completely remove all printer
drivers.

Reboot when you've finished. Download a new set of drivers from the Lexmark
website (www.lexmark.com).

Install the software and do NOT reconnect the printer until the software
tells you to do so.
