Too many operating systems

Hi

I've recently installed XP, but the installation sisn't
work right, so I re-installed in again. Unfortunately, it
has not over written the previous installation, and I now
have 2 XP's running on the smae hard-drive, which is
making the whole thing very unstable. Is there anyway, I
can remove the initial installation without having to
format the entire harddisk?

Are both XP's in their own partitions?
Can you choose between them fronm the boot menu?
