When I right click on files on the desktop or in Windows
Explorer, I notice that much to my great irritation, some
of the options are literally not showing, yet they are
still there. For example, the "Send To" part of the menu
is blank, but there is still an arrow denoting the sub-
menu and most everything shows up in that menu. Another
example is the "Open With" menu item. The arrow is
there, but no text. And inside that sub-menu, it will
show the programs it can and has run for that particular
file before, but the (I think it's called) "other" item
text doesn't show, but I can still click it. When I do
click it and the Open With window pops up, it will show
the programs Windows knows it can use to open that file,
but it will show about 8 or 9 instances of notepad or
wordpad (if it's a text file) or something like that.
Why is this happening? How do I fix it?
Please let me know quickly,
Thanks,
