View Full Version : xp sp2 unpacks/installs in wrong partition

hey, thanks for the help.
i have several partitions on my hard drive. i just reinstalled winxp to the
C drive. when i try to put in sp2 in unpacks to the H drive. can i redirect
it to unpack to the C drive?

It won't harm the install if that's what you are wondering...The SP2 is
a self-executable that extracts to the largest area on a drive...Hence H
is probably your largest....Let it go, it will delete itself after after
install, it's only temporary.........If you want to extract SP2 to save
it yourself basically any zip prog can do that....But there really isn't
any reason to........
