Dear all,
Have anyone experienced similar problem??

I have a small lan 3 PC connected thru an hub to an ADSL router.
They receive IP from DHCP server (provider).
When I try to connect from PC having W2K Pro (Sygate firewalled) to
other two (XP) I can easily.
When I connect I connect directly thru a cross cable with input fixed
IP I cannot access to XP from W2K, but exactly the opposite.

When I try to connect from one of two PC XP to W2K I cannot see it.
I tried several solutions before writing this note with no success:
when I ping the IP address of W2K PC I get time out error.
If I run nbtstat - n, I see W2K PC.

This is what I get from IPconfig /all (the addresses are modified for
privacy reason but are similar):

I have dealt with similar posts before, and in each case
the problem was caused by a forgotten firewall, or a
firewall that was supposedly de-activated but remained
active until uninstalled. If you are unable to find out what's
going on, install a network sniffer (e.g. Ethereal) and see
what happens to your packets.

A network like yours and I get the same thing. W2K is an
administrator's OS, and it's heavy on security.

So, when I want to transfer stuff, I simply use the Sharedocs folder
on my XP machine.
