SP2 and slow login and slow file transfer...

i recently bought a fujitsu notebook installed with xp pro sp2. notice that
when connected to network, i always need to wait for 10 min ++ to login in.
i need also very long time to copy a 100 kb file from my server.

i already disable my firewall. what could be wrong?

That's a special safty feature of service pack 2-It figures that if
you're fool enough to wait ten min. to log on, the lap top must belong
to you.

No seriously, I think I must have attempted to install SP2 at least 20
times on many different computers. The only real success is on a clean
hard drive.

The really neat thing about SP2 is that it never fails in the same way.
