Eliminating Balloon pop Ups

Hello Everyone>

Any ideas on how to eliminate the balloon pop on your sys tray. By balloon
pop ups I mean, information which the OS displays by the Sys tray

Goto The Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advance
d

Create a new DWORD value, name it EnableBalloonTips, and set it equal to 0.
If EnableBalloonTips is already there and equal to 1, set it equal to 0.

Quit the registry editor, log off, and log back on.

That will disable the balloon tips.

TweakUI/Taskbar/Uncheck Enable Balloon Tips
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Or use this automated edit:

Disable Balloon Tips or Disable All (Row 11)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Disable All includes: Balloon Tips, Folder Contents Info Tips, Explorer
Pop-Ups and Show Info Tips.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
