This problem never fails to occur. I go into my e mail
fine but after in there a short while I get a
message "Windows has encountered a problem and must shut
down". Then it shuts down and goes back to the main
screen, but, in doing so it also deletes my tool bar
temporarily and when it returns most of the icons tn the
tool bar are missing. The shut dsown of my e-mail
connection is extreemly irritating, but, having to reboot
my comp. to get my icons back is rediculous. The other
message that does the same thing to my comp.
is "Microsoft Explorer has encountered a problem and must
shut down". Is there a way to stop this or do I have to
put up with it???? As for now I am completely agrivated
and disillusioned with Windows XP and Microsoft. Thank
you sincerely for listening to my problem.

First of all, are you sending the problem reports to Microsoft for these
occurrences? Even if they do not have a ready response available for your
specific problem the errors you report are used to identify the priorities
for investigation and problem solving.

Secondly, right click on My Computer and select Manage.
Expand the Event Viewer category and browse through each of the 3
subcategories to locate the red-flagged error records whose date and time
correspond to your problems. Double click on an error record to see the
details of that error. Post the error record details back here if you
need further advice or assistance regarding that error.

Good luck
