View Full Version : Help SP2 and IE6

Please can anyone point me in the right direction to fix the
following prob.
2 days ago IE6 started to go intermittent when selecting links to
follow. Some links connect ok, but others don't, and the system
completely locks up requiring a re-boot. The problem is apparent
across all web sites, (and news groups) and it's the same links
on each occasion I try.
I have altered nothing on the system (wittingly) and disabling
firewalls, virus blockers and pop up disablers makes no
difference. The computer is only 4 months old, and I've had no
problems like this before.
What (or where) can I check and investigate. Frankly, I haven't
a clue.
Thanks for any help

the problem is that you have spyware and possibly adware. Get spybot search
and destroy. (www.google.ca search: spybot s&d

Thanks Ryan,
Spybot found and destroyed 1 item in IE favourites, however it
has made no difference to my problem. I have also tried to
download Adaware but of course the links do not work. Is there
anywhere else I can look.
Thanks
