MSN messenger installation

Hi! I have uninstalled MSN messenger and now want to
reinstall it. Everytime i try... i get error code 1603
(with version 6.2) or error code 1601 (with version
7.0). I have been working on this issue for the past two
weeks. I'm at my wits end. I have researched every web
site and tried every possible remedy to my knowledge.

I just reinstalled the windows installer as well and WAS
able to get my windows messenger back (whew). I really
like the MSN messenger service so I would appreciate and
help.

im assuming here that you have xp - if so why dont you just do a system
restore to the point before you deleted it. then when you restore your
computer it will be there like it was before you uninstalled it (does that
make sense)
im a confusing one i think at times :)

Greetings Amanda,

Do you have AdWatch (part of Adaware) or any other application which monitors things which
are installing? If so, disable them and then try installing.
