missing file, shared.dll

I'm missing a microsoft file called shared.dll which
Norton found to be a critical file but can't fix with
automatic fix. Do I need to download this file from
Microsoft and how do I do that? thanks

I hav XP home ed. There are only three files olshared.dll, and two
essshared.dll on my system. How much do you trust Norton??? I cannot give
any info on XP Pro.

I don't have the file either (Shared.dll) - Win XP Home SP1
Just leave it in quantine and see if another program is
using this file which is installed on your computer and if
that is the case, then you can reinstall the program that
uses it.
