extending system partition

Is there a way to extend the system partition on a
Windows XP system with NTFS file system ..... there is
plenty of room on the disk but the partition is running
out of space.

The only way you can delete, create, resize or merge existing =
partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows XP installation, is to use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8
(www.powerquest.com).
