Hi all,

A friend has Windows XP and he recently upgraded his internet connection to
broadband. He now believes that Windows Update, which used to occur daily,
is not occurring at all. He says that it is now scheduled for 3am, but his
computer is never switched on at 3am. I haven't seen his computer, and I'm a
Windows 98 user, so I was not able to offer much help except to promise to
ask here. Thanks for any suggestions, which I will forward back to him.

That's why my vehicle's the Piccadilly Line -
It's the size of a county and it comes every two and a half minutes

He should schedule the updates to happen at a time when the
computer IS turned ON. He also must have at least XP SP1 to
get updates (SP2 is recommended).
